The Phoenix Fund

The Phoenix Fund was established in March 1998. Our mission is to conserve the rich biodiversity of the Russian Far East through initiating, funding and implementing conservation projects.

We have received support from a large number of organisations including Wildlife Alliance, Save the Tiger Fund, Tigris Foundation, Rhinoceros and Tiger Conservation Fund, Alertis: fund for bear and nature conservation, IFAW, ZSL, the 21st Century Tiger Fund, Rufford Foundation, AMUR, WWF, WFN, Project AWARE.

Phoenix Fund closely co-operates with the local authorities, environmental NGOs, scientists and educational institutions.

Phoenix Fund is a member of the Amur Leopard and Tiger Alliance (ALTA).

We are infinitely grateful to our partners for their support of our work in the Russian Far East. Your support has enabled us to successfully combat poaching and illegal wildlife trade and increase public awareness of environmental issues. Our efforts have helped to reverse the decline of the Amur (Siberian) tiger. We are looking forward to our future cooperation.
