Phoenix Fund is a member of the Amur Leopard and Tiger Alliance (ALTA).
ALTA's mission is to secure a future for wild Amur tigers and leopards in the Russian Far East and China. ALTA is a unique alliance of twelve conservation organisations working together to protect the Amur (Far Eastern) leopard and Amur tiger from extinction. Some are fundraisers, while others implement projects on the ground - between them ALTA partners manage over half the tiger and leopard conservation projects in the Russian Far East. Close cooperation and communication between partners ensures that the work is efficient and effective.

ALTA works across Northeast Asia under the guiding principle that only cooperative, coordinated conservation actions from all interested parties can save these endangered species from extinction. As an alliance of organisations with varying skills and expertise, ALTA works in close cooperation with local, regional, and federal governmental and non-governmental organisations, to protect the region's biological wealth through conservation, sustainable development and local community involvement.
